I arrived at Horace Mann to start the 1955 school year in second grade.
I spent the next seven years building a strong educational foundation with the encouragement of a very concerned and dedicated teaching staff.
Just as important, to the chagrin of my mother, I spent many hours on the schoolyard developing my athletic skills
and building fabulous friendships that are still intact and thriving.
South Shore High and then onto the University of Illinois rounded out my education that led to a career in sales that I still enjoy today.
HMAEF has brought together a diverse and experienced group of alum that want to give back to an institution that started us all in the right direction.
